DESCRIPTION

Anger has a bad reputation, but it’s a natural response when someone steps over a line ‒ we need it to defend ourselves and others. Clear anger burns like a flame, but so often we push it down until it explodes like a volcano, or seeps out like a poisonous gas! When unexpressed anger becomes hard and rigid it turns to hatred. On this weekend, we will find the shapes and embodiment of fierceness and anger in its many forms, letting go of old emotion, clearing the way for love. Connection comes from being real, showing ourselves and standing up for our beliefs. There is a lot of satisfaction in being met by another in the truth of the moment, even when we disagree. Forgiveness exists in the maps of Anger, but we cannot bypass the other feelings and go straight there. Opening to our common humanity, feeling collective hurts and dreams leads to the possibilities of true connection and forgiveness. Alex Mackay has been teaching the Rhythms since 1997 in her uniquely spacious, embodied, fun, creative and magickal way. She opens the door to the Heartbeat level of 5Rhythms practice in an easy and accessible way that everyone can relate to. Together with Joe Caswell, a talented, dazzling musician who has played for many 5Rhythms teachers including Gabrielle Roth, they weave an alchemy that is truly transformational.

NOTES

The price of the workshop is £105 if you book and pay in full by Feb 27. £120 thereafter. £30 (non-refundable) deposit secures your place. Contact Jean to get the info on how to pay. WORKSHOP LEVEL DETAILS

In Heartbeat we explore our emotions as energy, as power, as part of being human. Old feelings that have been locked in our limbs or caged in our chest begin to shake loose. We get comfortable with feelings, neither hanging onto them nor pushing them away.
