DESCRIPTION

Sylvie Minot's Ancestors classes explore your often unconscious family/ancestral patterns and offer a way to shift and release them.

Through dance, movement, voice/sound, and guided group exercises, Sylvie uses each of Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms—flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical, and stillness—to honor your past and create new pathways for healing.

5Rhythms is a simple meditative movement practice designed to release the dancer that lives in every body regardless of shape, size, age, or experience. While the dance itself is simple, it has the power to catalyze deep healing and creative expression.

In this ancestor work, we will dance with our ancestry, which lives in our hearts, soul, collective memory, and DNA. We will call on the wisdom and medicine of our lineage, the power of ancestral lands, and the spirit of the animal clans to guide our dance on this journey. We beckon our bloodlines, spirit animals, and sacred guides to help navigate a magical ancestral journey.

Participants can be of any level of fitness, agility. No prior dance training or ability is required.

You must be available for all three days of the workshop.

A Gabrielle Roth 5Rhythms Waves workshop is the foundation of the entire body of 5Rhythms work in which we expand our class work with a deepened physical expression and knowledge of the essential 5Rhythms and their polarities.
PREREQUISITES: No prerequisites required.
