EQUILIBRIUM
Heartbeat
DESCRIPTION
"You didn’t really think this was about dancing, did you?" - Gabrielle Roth
Being out of balance emotionally is created by situations of drastically controlling our feelings or letting them take over with out of control responses. Either ways are extreme and stress inducing. A healthier emotional equilibrium will happen when we give ourselves permission to face and directly embrace our feelings and explore the many aspects and expressions of them, carefully leaving judgment and shame out of the equation.
Through our moving meditation practice and in following the 5Rhythms Heartbeat map, the map of the emotions, we will explore how much our body is consciously and unconsciously constantly thriving and working to find a dynamic search for equilibrium. Which ultimately is necessary for our own survival. And we'll find out how important it is to open more and more to give and receive with an open heart from the others, friends, companions, siblings, relatives, and coworkers.
Yin and Yang, light and darkness are dancing constantly together. They give shape to the full existence of everything. And so emotions are also constantly growing or shrinking, coming and going like ebb and flow, navigating in the endless waves and the rhythms of our lives.
Vehllia and Alessandro playfully and in full commitment to the practice, bring the unique side of themselves together, facing each other, standing side by side, back to back, close or far away, constantly giving and receiving. Extremely different, unique and yet complementary and united. Stimulating and inspiring each other and sharing their ecstatic joy for life with everyone else they encounter on their path. Dancing their life journey in an ever changing dynamic Equilibrium.

WORKSHOP LEVEL DETAILS
In Heartbeat we explore our emotions as energy, as power, as part of being human. Old feelings that have been locked in our limbs or caged in our chest begin to shake loose. We get comfortable with feelings, neither hanging onto them nor pushing them away.
