The spontaneous heart is one that knows how to love and be loved. The Heartbeat map is a guide to how our emotional energy moves and morphs. The two polarities of moving and sitting meditation together mirror the dance of life and open the door to peace, well being and balance.
Through the 5Rhythms practice we embody the art of being a fluid emotional athlete. This map teaches us how to navigate the emotional terrain of life without getting stuck, holding on, or pushing away.
This workshop will integrate the stillness of Buddhist mindfulness meditation with the moving meditations of the 5Rhythms. We will explore how the body has been shaped by our emotions, tracking when the heart is open and when it is closed. As waves of feeling move us, we learn how to express emotion in a healthy and creative way. We will engage in mindfulness while in motion.
You will be shown skills and techniques to take home and apply in your daily life. This workshop is designed for everyone, of every age, and shape.

Heartbeat is the second of Gabrielle Roth's maps. It is the map of the emotional terrain of life. In this map we explore the different dynamic energies that are encountered most often in the human experience.
Each of the Rhythms that make up the primary "Waves" map, relates to one of the emotions in the second map of "Heartbeat".

- Chaos, relates to Sadness & Surrender (Emptying the sadness)

The body is the gateway to the heart and mind. All you have to be willing to do is move. My approach to the heart is one of gentleness, kindness and non-judgement. It is my goal to create a safe environment for every individual.
