I spent 16 years in theatre, first as a stage manager and then as an actor - using the tools of the actor, forum theatre and communication to help communities and individuals practice change and the process of transformation. Working with youth & adults in varied settings from schools, mental health, the corporate floor to villages in rural, remote areas of Cambodia. Then I discovered the 5Rhythms and using movement as medicine for our souls. For me the dance is a meditation, a place to practice compassion for myself and to others, and to discover time and time again this ever-present connection to something bigger than ourselves, this divine source that some may call god or spirit. I am always searching for that sweet moment of surrender, when I disappear into the dance, and discover that I am being danced by something much greater than me. It becomes my prayer of gratitude at being alive in all my tender, raw and ecstatic moments.
