In Staccato we physically practice the power of masculine energy. It is percussive and strong and promotes connection with the rest of the world. Staccato is the gateway to the heart. It shows us how to step out into the world connected to our feet and our feelings. This rhythm is the ruler of our linear world, the ruler of the warrior part of us, the part of us that shows up as truth and clarity. It is the part of us that stands up for what we care about, who we love, and what we love.
Staccato is the fierce teacher of boundaries. And it is the protector and ambassador of our fluid being. Visually, a man or woman fully embodied in the Rhythm of Staccato is defined, clear, connected and not fearful of the transparent expression of their heart. Whether dancing Staccato alone, in partnership, or in groups—it is always a powerful experience.SCHRIJF JE VANDAAG IN!
LIBERATION - Freedom through Dance
A 5Rhythms One-Day Mindful Movement Workshop in October in Limerick
This 5Rhythms physical movement practice is a great place to explore liberation and freedom in your body and mind and heart.
Together we will explore the following:
* Fluidity in Flowing
* Focus in Stacatto
* Freedom in Chaos
* Funky in Lyrical
* Fullfilled in Stillness
These explorations will be through your body, through creative, dance, expressive movement, rather than through your head.
Moving beyond words.
The workshop counts as six hours of Waves workshops. Jenny is a certified teacher and member of the 5Rhythms Teachers Association.
Sunday, 22nd October 2023 - 11am to 5pm, Dance Limerick Studio
Cost: €75. Concession €65.
Payable in advance
The 5Rhythms is a creative, free yet disciplined practice, that will take you out of your head and into your body. Healing, connecting, awakening, increasing your self-awareness.
Your body if it is given the opportunity and space, will know what it needs and how it wants to dance.
Jenny has been moving with this practice since she found her way into a class in Galway in June 2000 and she trained with the founder, Gabrielle Roth and The Moving Centre in 2007. She continues to dance regularly for her own enjoyment and exploration and growth.
I look forward to dancing with you.
