​Medicine Circle is a profound fusion of movement, sound healing, ceremony, community, and reverence for the land. It will unfold amidst the enchanting landscapes of Malinalco, Mexico, a place steeped in myth and mysticism. In Aztec mythology, the goddess Malinalxochitl once chose Malinalco as her home, and the people of the village hold a reputation as sorcerers. Nestled in a relatively isolated valley, Malinalco is surrounded by mountains adorned with a prehispanic pyramid, adding to the aura of ancient wisdom and magic that permeates the area.

Crafted by 5Rhythms instructor Sylvie Minot 16 years ago, Medicine Circle interweaves potent lineages—Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms Movement, Angeles Arrien’s Four-Fold Way, and the healing sounds of Tito LaRosa.

Within the Medicine Circle, we dance, embracing dances of all forms—big and small, quiet and loud, joyful and serene, cathartic and tranquil. We harness the power of sound—drums, rattles, bells, rain sticks, and song—to beckon the Spirit forth. We offer prayers for ourselves, others, and our collective well-being. We invoke our ancestors, guides, and the spirits of the land, honoring the past while forging new pathways toward healing.
