Essentail Sadness ~ The Gifts of Greif ~
HeartBeat Level. Embodying the emotional intelligence of the heart.
Sadness releases us. The instinct is to release what we love.
Moves us into trust (instead of why is this happening to me - This is happening to me - it is my teaching) & becomes surrender.
Grounding our Sadness with our breath, trusting our feet, whilst using the 5Rhythms first map, flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical & stillness.
My approach to this workshop is to be gentle, kind, non judgemental, allowing YOU to work with what comes up naturally, moving at a pace that suits you.
What wants to be seen, heard, released, witnessed? It's here that we receive the medicine of this practice.
This 5Rhythms physical movement practice is a great place to explore our shadow and light and how it shows up in our dances.
Together we will explore the following:
These explorations will be through your body, and not through your head. It really is a great process to experience how tension or numbness presents itself physically in your body.
Sunday, 16th April 2023 - 11am to 5.30pm, Dance Limerick Studio
PRE-BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.
Cost: €75. Concession €65.
Payable in advance
Prerequisites: You must have attended a taster class with me, or have previous experience of the 5Rhythms with other teachers, or indeed other movement practices: Movement Medicine, Open Floor, Soul Motion, which all have their roots in Gabrielle Roth's 5Rhythms.
Or if you have no experience with these practices but are keen to explore creative, embodied personal development work, drop me an email.
The 5Rhythms is a creative, free yet disciplined practice, that will take you out of your head and into your body. Healing, connecting, awakening, increasing your self-awareness.
Your body if it is given the opportunity and space, will know what it needs and how it wants to dance.
Jenny has been moving with this practice since she found her way into a class in Galway in June 2000 and she trained with the founder, Gabrielle Roth and The Moving Centre in 2007. She continues to dance regularly for her own enjoyment and exploration and growth.
I look forward to dancing with you.
