This is a small group experience of no more than 15 dancers for a 5 day period. 

Join us for a 5 Day Heartbeat workshop focused on strengthening emotional intelligence through the 5Rhythms Heartbeat map, designed to connect you to the emotional landscapes of the heart. Each rhythm—Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness—offers a unique pathway to embodying and expressing fear, anger, sadness, joy, and compassion. Focusing on the Heartbeat map has the power increase our skills and awareness of the five elements of emotional intelligence—self-awareness, effective communication, self-regulation, motivation and empathy. This workshop provides tools for authentic expression, emotional balance, and personal growth.

Through guided movement, reflection, and community connection, you’ll have the opportunity to move and experience the full spectrum of your emotions, creating space for healing, authenticity, and building resilience.

Flowing: emBodying Self-Awareness

5Rhythms: Flowing teaches us to feel fear without resistance, grounding ourselves in presence and learning to trust our instincts.

Emotional Intelligence: By tuning into our physical sensations and inner experiences, we develop the ability to recognize and name our emotions, creating a foundation for understanding ourselves deeply.

Staccato: Expressing Clarity and Boundaries

5Rhythms: Staccato helps us channel frustration and anger constructively, using it as fuel for setting boundaries, expressing needs, and cultivating clarity.

Emotional Intelligence: Effective Communication – Staccato teaches us to communicate with precision and intention, strengthening our ability to connect authentically with others.

5Rhythms: Chaos provides space for releasing sadness and grief, allowing us to embrace and move through emotional turbulence.

Emotional Intelligence: Self-Regulation – Through surrender and movement, we learn to let go of control, managing emotional overwhelm while finding freedom and equilibrium.

Lyrical: Cultivating Joy and Connection

5Rhythms: Lyrical invites us to expand into the joy of being alive, rediscovering our playful and lighthearted nature.

Stillness: Integrating Presence and Wisdom

This workshop is open to all movers. If you’re seeking to deepen your connection to your emotions, enhance your emotional intelligence, and find healing through movement, this workshop is for you. Pre-requisites include 5 Waves classes or a day or more workshop of waves level 5Rhythms.
