Join us as we awaken our body, mind, spirit and soul with thismoving meditation practice. The 5Rhythms® practice engagesall aspects of our psyche in a transformative, often meditative,dance experience.This 6-week series will focus on the Fundamentals of the5Rhythms®. It is open to everyone, regardless of experience,age or body type. Sometimes we cower and hide in the shadows. Sometimes we disguise, deny or dampen down our natural ability to shine. Circumstances can lock us into spirals of inertia or compulsivity. How do we work with these parts of ourselves and be curious about how they could shift into something more expansive and radiant? What is brewing below the surface ready to emerge?
The moving meditation practice of Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms can offer us a map to explore the vast territory of our body, heart and soul in motion. We can use the dance practice as an opportunity to reveal the source of our inner light. The inherent wisdom of the body in motion is our resource for transformation.
This dance workshop is an opportunity to bring your whole self into movement in order to align mind and body and embrace parts of yourself that are ready to be revealed into the bright, lively energy of Spring. With compassion, acceptance, curiosity and connection, we will co-create a safe and sacred container in order to explore the polarity of light and darkness within and around us.
