BLOSSOMING: 5Rhythms Dance & Embodiment Easter Retreat

Salt Spring Island - 6 Apr 2023 to 10 Apr 2023
Bettina Rothe

“There’s a joy blossoming in your heart. Don’t let the world trouble you.”

BLOSSOMING invites you to move into the depth of your heart, where you can take refuge, enjoy time to simply be, and experience emotional renewal.

The maps of the 5Rhythms® movement practice over 5 days sets the framework to honour how the dark time has shaped you, gives embodied expression to what overshadows your inner radiance and joy, and gently encourages the petals of your heart and body to open.

Daily meditation, embodiment practices, and personal reflection supports the expansion of loving awareness inherent in your natural state of being.

As a community we come together to welcome new growth, and celebrate our creative life force and caring hearts. We will co-create a safe space to deepen our individual paths of healing and transformation in the spirit of openness, acceptance, and support.

Together we will dance for the healing of the collective heart of humanity and make our offerings.

The retreat takes place over Easter with a full moon on the first night. Rituals and time in nature will connect us with the seasonal cycles and the beauty of springtime.

Sessions will be held indoors and outdoors (weather permitting).

No previous experience is required to participate.

Everyone is welcome.

In between sessions you are encouraged to spend time integrating with journaling, resting, or enjoying the large perennial gardens and water features. If you want to be a bit more active, take a guided farm tour, or head off farm to hike in nature or swim in a nearby lake.

Optional body work sessions will be available throughout the retreat.

Praise for Bettina’s Easter Retreats:

“I expected Bettina’s Easter Retreat to be good; I didn’t expect it to be amazing! The facilities and food at Stowel Lake Farm were excellent.

The retreat structure was brilliant—with the cacao ceremony, outdoor dancing at Ruckle Park, and the remarkable facilitation, we achieved new highs and deeper transformations day-after-day-after-day. Bettina and her team created a deeply loving and intimate environment for us to connect with ourselves and with one another.

This retreat was a 12/10—I can’t wait to go on another retreat with Bettina!”

— Jordan Bower

“First and foremost Bettina is a natural leader. Someone who leads with heart and mind balancing the two with wisdom and grace. Bettina is very gifted in building communities and creating sacred spaces.

Recently I joined a 5 day Retreat with her at Stowel Lake Farm. Bettina not only chose the ideal place for the theme, but also again created a space in which I was able to show up as who I really am. As a Life Coach, I know that this is the only place, from which a transformation is possible.

Using the 5Rhythms map Bettina led us through various layers, which have ultimately culminated in new shapes of ourselves.

Bettina designed the retreat in a way that everything was absolutely aligned with the theme: the beautiful farm, its community, their love to the land, the nutritious food, the music, ceremonies and so much more.

I am very grateful for all the magic and transformation I experienced during this incredible retreat.”

— Anna Mrozik

“Bettina holds an alchemical container that allows me to take flight. Her loving heart and strong embodied presence are the ingredients for making magic.

I loved all the parts of this Retreat including storytelling and hearing about the history of Stowel Lake Farm. All the touches for a nourishing, transformational experience were tended to. I am grateful.”

— Kirsten Vinge

“Thanks again SOOOO MUCH for this transformative weekend!! It was AMAZING!! All of it!! I still feel the glow from such an incredible high. Again please

BELONGING ~ A 5Rhythms® Heartbeat™ Workshop

“The world has never been more connected, yet people are lonelier than ever. Whether we feel unworthy, alienated, or anxious about our place in the world – the absence of belonging is the great silent wound of our times.” – Toko-pa Turner, from her book “Belonging”

We all long to belong. A sense of belonging is fundamental to our emotional health and well-being. Is it possible to uncover a deeply rooted sense of Belonging when we give ourselves the space to lean into these feelings of disconnect and alienation? Where and when do feelings of Belonging arise? Why are so many of us struggling to find our place in the world?

The 5Rhythms® Heartbeat™ map is rich and fertile ground for exploring these questions and the many aspects of our hearts that are present when we dive into the field of Belonging. Can we learn to be with and express our feelings of fear, anger, and grief that surface when we feel excluded, isolated, or alone? Can we accept and integrate our feelings of joy and compassion that are present when we feel connected to ourselves and our community? How can our hearts grow and expand if we land in a deeply embodied sense of Belonging?

The container we co-create in this workshop will become the sacred ground for this work, allowing for vulnerability, expansion, growth, and pain to be witnessed, released, held, and valued in a safe, nurturing way. I invite you to meet me on the dance floor with your curiosity for exploring the field of ‘Belonging’.
